Ciel de Lilac 2018 has won a Silver medal at the second tranche of The International Wine Challenge 2019.
We are delighted to announce that our premium Provence rosé wine from Coteaux d’Aix en Provence was awarded 90 points and a Silver medal at this year’s IWC Tranche 2.
The tasting note read: “Intense notes of fresh berry. Smokey stone minerality and sweet clover. Excellent balance and bright of acid and long fresh finish.”
Ciel de Lilac Rosé AOP Coteaux d’Aix en Provence 2018 is a delicate blend of indigenous grape varieties Grenache and Syrah, as well as the Bordeaux grape, Cabernet Sauvignon.
The region where the vineyards are located is teeming with shrubs and herbs such as rosemary, thyme and lavender which help to produce a beautifully pale wine with notable aromatics and character.
The International Wine Challenge is one of the most prestigious wine awards in the world and was originally launched in 1984. The wines are judged blind on three separate occasions by a minimum of 12 judges and are assessed on faithfulness to style, region and vintage.
Le Bijou de Sophie Valrose Rosé IGP Coteaux de Béziers and Gorilla Appassimento IGT Puglia were awarded Commended medals at the competition.
